[Case Study] Significant Reduction in Industrial Waste Costs for Barrel Polishing Waste Liquid <Toyama Prefecture>

A case where using non-hazardous acids allows workers to safely carry out wastewater treatment.

We would like to introduce a case where the "Compact Wastewater Treatment Device, Aqua Nature Plus" was implemented in the metal processing industry. The wastewater discharged from barrel polishing was all treated as industrial waste, which incurred significant costs. After implementation, the cost of industrial waste disposal was reduced to below 50% by performing coagulation and sedimentation treatment. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■Challenges - Due to the busy schedule of the manufacturing staff, there was not much time available for wastewater treatment. - To ensure safe operations, there was a desire to avoid using hazardous substances. ■Proposal - To reduce labor and time, a semi-automatic compact wastewater treatment device was introduced. - To cut down on industrial waste disposal costs, coagulation and sedimentation treatment was adopted, and only the separated sludge was disposed of. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Reduction of Normal Hexane Extractable Substances in Food Washing Wastewater <Gifu Prefecture>

A case where the water quality standards (n-hexane, pH) were met by changing the treatment method from aeration to coagulation and sedimentation.

We would like to introduce a case where the "Compact Wastewater Treatment Device, Aqua Nature Plus" was implemented in the industrial waste treatment industry. A significant issue was the discharge of wastewater containing a large amount of oil during the cleaning of the packer trucks used for collection and transportation. After implementation, we were able to complete one batch treatment within 30 minutes by combining natural filtration methods with reusable filter bags, and we could process 8 to 10 batches a day using a coagulation and sedimentation treatment device with a capacity of 1m3 per batch. [Challenges (partial)] ■ The presence of oil causes a decrease in pH. ■ It is costly to remove existing treatment devices, so we wanted to implement a treatment device that could utilize existing equipment as much as possible. ■ A large volume of wastewater is discharged in a short time, so we wanted to process it as quickly as possible. ■ We wanted to keep the implementation costs as low as possible. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Example] Treatment of turbid water generated in a short time during well drilling (well excavation) work.

Rapid sedimentation is possible! A case where water quality has dramatically improved through coagulation treatment.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Aqua Nature SV" in well drilling operations. The issue was that turbid water generated during the drilling was being discharged untreated, and there was no space for installing drainage treatment equipment at the construction site. After implementation, we were able to extend the retention time by changing the point of coagulant injection, which allowed us to shorten the reaction time required for coagulation treatment. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■Problems - Turbid water generated during well drilling was being discharged untreated. - There was no space for installing drainage treatment equipment at the construction site. - Due to the large volume of drainage being discharged in a short time, rapid coagulation and sedimentation were necessary. ■Results - The water quality of the treated water significantly improved through coagulation treatment. - By forming large flocs, sedimentation became possible in a short time. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Glass Processing Industry: Treatment of Multi-Element Containing Wastewater with Different Methods <Tokyo>

An example where the replenishment of medication and opening of the board occurs once every 1 to 2 weeks, and during that time, operations can be conducted almost autonomously.

We would like to introduce a case of implementing a "continuous wastewater treatment system and chelating agents" in the glass processing industry. The problem was that existing treatment methods could not process all the contained elements due to the presence of multiple metals and non-metals with different treatment methods. After implementation, by switching to lower concentration chemicals, operators were able to work more safely than before. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Proposal - A flow was established that allows for the treatment of concentrated wastewater, which was previously treated as industrial waste, by mixing it with a certain amount of raw water. - The treatment equipment was designed to operate automatically for all processes except for the dewatering machine's opening work and chemical replenishment. ■ Results - The annual cost of wastewater treatment, which was 1 million yen, was eliminated. - All elements were reduced to below water quality standards. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Improvement of Wastewater Turbidity in the Bag Manufacturing Industry <Okinawa Prefecture>

A case where the device was disassembled for transport and assembled at the installation site, allowing for delivery in a narrow installation area.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the "Aqua Nature Plus, AN-1000 model" at a bag manufacturing processing plant. Originally, natural sedimentation was performed in four water tanks located in an underground pit, but with the increase in production volume, the discharge volume increased, leading to a shorter retention time in the tanks, resulting in a situation where water had to be discharged with turbidity remaining. After the implementation, the only tasks required for wastewater treatment were the addition of chemicals and the replacement of filter bags, creating an environment where wastewater treatment could be completed in a short time. [Case Summary (Partial)] ■Challenges - The existing sedimentation equipment was insufficient for solid-liquid separation. - Due to the limited space for equipment installation, a device that fits in that space was needed. - Running costs needed to be minimized as much as possible. ■Results - By performing coagulation treatment, it became possible to discharge clear water.

[Case Study] Reduction of BOD and COD in the Metal Processing Industry <Ishikawa Prefecture>

The case where the elimination of hazardous substances (dilute sulfuric acid) from the used chemicals has reduced storage tasks and improved safety.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Aqua Nature Plus" and "Aqua Blaster" at a metal processing factory. The challenge was that the compounds used for barrel polishing contained organic substances that increased BOD and COD, making it impossible to meet the internal standards for BOD and COD with the current treatment method (coagulation treatment). After implementation, the number of chemical agents used was reduced from five to two, significantly decreasing the effort required for replenishing and adjusting the chemicals. As a result, BOD and COD levels dropped to below 30 mg/L, clearing the internal standards. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Challenges - Reduce BOD and COD levels, which exceed internal standards, to below the internal standard values. - Simplify the adjustments for coagulation issues during trouble occurrences as much as possible. ■ Results - Reduced running costs by over 4 million yen annually, bringing them down to about 50% of the pre-implementation costs. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
